About the Festival
The Festival of India in the Sunshine City: Zimbabwe is truly a unique and united expression of art which emboldens the deeply interwoven histories of our two countries. The Festival of India in the Sunshine City: Zimbabwe celebrates the spirit of India and India- Zimbabwe relations centred in our long liberation movements, shared past and promising future.
The first two editions of the Festival were well received. The third edition this year will unfold some new magic from India in Harare, Zimbabwe’s sparkling and picturesque capital, as a joint effort of the Embassy of India, Harare and Teamwork Arts. The Festival also reflects the wonderful partnerships we have formed with Zimbabwe’s local institutions and has become a much-awaited event on Zimbabwe’s cultural landscape.
Historical cultural associations embellished by a contemporary edge, the festival will forefront India’s cultural mix and dynamism in Harare through a delightful blend of music, theatre, dance, food, films and yoga.
